About Us
Tyra BurtonTyra is a social media muse, award-winning professor, gamer-girl, and lover of all things geeky. She grew up playing card games, watching Star Trek and Quincy, MD, and reading Asimov and Agatha Christie. This strange combination produced a gamer-geek who loves mysteries, World of Warcraft, police procedurals, and science-fiction.
For her day job at the university, Tyra teaches on a variety subjects including social media, entertainment marketing, gaming, and gender and sexuality in pop culture. She is a social media strategist and co-author of Socially Engaged: The Author’s Guide to Social Media with Jana Oliver. Penduli Station is her first novel. She loves dark chocolate, Jameson & Ginger Ale, Ireland, and her two dogs and kitty. She wants to grow up to be Princess Leia, Wonder Woman, or, most likely, Penelope Garcia from Criminal Minds. An eternal DragonCon member, she met her husband there in 2009 at a Lord of the Rings concert. They live happily in their house in the woods with their socially engaging fur babies. |
Sherrie FillionSherrie’s been writing stories in her head for as long as she can remember. She finally put pen to paper, hands to keyboard and discovered there's more to writing than a great story. She focused on the craft and skill work to learn as much as she could about the process of writing. She has published five novellas and two full length novels as a paranormal romance author under Sherrie Lea Morgan. She aims to have ghosts seen in a different "light".
Recently, she had the opportunity to embrace the nerd inside, and jumped at the chance to write a science fiction novel. The idea of weaving aliens and space battles into stories thrilled her. She is currently a member of Romance Writers of America and three chapters of RWA: Georgia Romance Writers, Kiss of Death, Future, Fantasy and Paranormal. She is a premium member of the Paranormal Romance Guild and active in attending conferences. She looks forward to helping readers escape into a world of otherworldly times. |
